Special Thanks to the Special People Behind the New SUNY Press Website
We could not have done it without you
You may have noticed that our website looks a little bit different: less red, more organized, and way easier to navigate. You can search by series! We even have a blog! Months of work (and long debates) went into the creation of this new website, and we are so excited to make the most of the new features to promote our books and journals. But first, we want to take a moment to thank the many people who made it possible.
First, thanks to our colleagues at SUNY and the SUNY Research Foundation, for their tireless support of the Press. In particular, we are grateful for the terrific work that Kyle and Jess did to freshen our branding.
A very special thanks to Dan, our Digital Operations Manager, for leading this effort, holding our hands, or laying down the law when necessary to make this all happen. We are grateful that we had such a terrific leader for this project!
Thanks to the whole SUNY Press team, for the many hours put into brainstorms, discussions, and debates on what the website should look like and do. And thank you for the time spent combing over our documents and content to make sure everything is just right before going live.
Thanks to our operations team (Sharla, Michelle, and Renee) for making sure that every person who wants to buy one of our books or request a review copy is able to do so with the smoothest experience possible – and with the right discount in place.
Thanks to our editorial team (James, Rebecca, Mike, and Richard) for helping build a more streamlined author toolkit and doing the inglorious work of data clean up to give us a fresh start.
Thanks to our production team (Ryan, Jenn, Diane, and Eileen) for their expertise and eagle eyes in making sure everything is just as it should be.
Thanks to marketing (Kate, Michael, Michelle, and Amanda) for brainstorming, building, and ultimately taking on the work for the exciting new tools for promoting our books and titles on the site, at conferences, and beyond.
Thanks to the team at Readerbound for everything you see on the page, and for the training provided so that we will be able to take full advantage of all of the new resources at our fingertips. Special thanks to Craig and Doug for their patience and helpful guidance during the creation of this site. We couldn’t have asked for better partners!
And a final thanks to our authors and editors who put together our inaugural selection of blogs. We look forward to having a platform to share the voices of our authors and editors and are grateful for your time and patience in taking the plunge to be the first of what we hope to be many insightful pieces from our scholars.
We hope you will take some time to click around and enjoy the new face of SUNY Press. We are proud of what our team was able to accomplish. And we hope many of you will take advantage of our site launch sale – get 50% off your purchase when you use the coupon code XWEB22 at check-out.
And don’t forget to join our mailing list to receive special discounts, hear from our authors and editors in your field, and find out about our newest titles.
