Anya Peterson Royce is Chancellor's Professor of Anthropology and of Comparative Literature at Indiana University Bloomington. Her books include Anthropology of the Performing Arts: Artistry, Virtuosity, and Interpretation in a Cross-Cultural Perspective and The Anthropology of Dance.
